Burnett Bobblehead and Kids Replica Camo Jersey highlight Pirates fourth homestand

The Pirates return to PNC Park to welcome the Milwaukee Brewers, Houston Astros and Chicago Cubs for a 10-game homestand. This homestand will be highlighted by the "How Many Ks" promotion tickets on sale for Monday, May 13 thru Friday, May 17. The Pirates A.J. Burnett bobblehead night on Saturday, May 18 and kids Burnett replica camo jersey on Sunday, May 19 will highlight the weekend promotions.

Monday, May 13, 2013 - Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers (7:05 p.m.)

  • How Many Ks: Thanks to the fan-value "How Many Ks" promotion, select tickets for tonight's game were placed on sale for just $5. During the three games at the New York Mets from May 9 thru 11, the Pirates struck out a total of 23 batters and as part of the promotion, the club discounted select tickets for tonight's game $1 for every batter retired on strikes.   • VIP Night: Pirates and Pirates Charities Chairman Bob Nutting will host a VIP (Very Important Pirate) Party for the Highmark Caring Place. The group will be special guests of Mr. Nutting and will watch the game from a PNC Park luxury suite. Mr. Nutting will host a VIP Party each month during the season in order to provide deserving children with a night at the ballpark in true VIP-style - complete with a private meet-and-greet with Pirates players and coaches, a Pirates replica jersey and VIP goodie bag for each child. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a pregame ceremony and enjoy a great ballpark menu items provided by Levy Restaurants.

  • Pirates in the Community: Pirates players and other representatives will visit with the students of La Escuelita Arcoiris, a local Spanish-immersion school in Squirrel Hill, to interact and play games from 11 a.m. to noon.

  • Make-A-Wish Scholarship Event: Pirates Charities will welcome 23 former "wish kids" for the Kurt Weiss Scholarship Awards Night at PNC Park. The opportunity to earn a scholarship is offered to any wish kid who is a senior in high school and intends to pursue post-secondary education. It is named in honor of Kurt Weiss, a wish kid who now practices medicine in the Pittsburgh area. Kurt will be present to recognize the students' accomplishments, along with Judi Stone, President and CEO of the Make-A-Wish of Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia, and Pirates President Frank Coonelly. The students will be recognized on the field prior to tonight's game.
  • Friday Block Party: Tonight is the first Friday Budweiser Block Party of the year on Federal Street. Fans will enjoy live music featuring the Street Level Band and can party on the street with food & beer sales. Pirates alumni Kent Tekulve will be the special guest bartender at the Budweiser Bar that will be located on Federal Street.

Saturday, May 18, 2013 - Pirates vs. Houston Astros (7:05 p.m.)

  • Miracle League Field Grand Opening: Pirates Charities along with the Miracle League of the Ohio Valley will take part in a 10 a.m. ceremony to officially open the JB Chambers Miracle League Field in Wheeling, WV. Bob Nutting, Pirates and Pirates Charities Chairman, will be joined at the event by Pirates President Frank Coonelly and other Pirates representatives. Pirates broadcaster Greg Brown will emcee the event and nationally known recording artist B.E. Taylor will perform the National Anthem. Immediately following the event will be the inaugural game on the J.B. Chambers field.
  • Junior Pirates: Today from noon to 1 p.m. a member of the Pirates will visit the Squirrel Hill Jr. Pirates to meet and participate in hitting and fielding instructions with the more than 50 little league players.
  • Pirates Team PhotoFest: Today all fans with tickets to tonight's game will have the unique opportunity to participate in Team PhotoFest Day from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. on the warning track at PNC Park. Fans must enter through the Trib Total Media Home Plate entrance beginning at 4 p.m. and they will be directed to the ballpark's outfield warning track. Tickets will be scanned. Players and coaches will be in the outfield grass, moving along the perimeter posing for photos for fans. Guests may bring their own camera; sorry, no autographs permitted. All Pirates players and coaches are scheduled to appear during the one-hour event.
  • A.J. in Camo: Tonight the first 25,000 fans, with paid admission, will receive and A.J. Burnett camouflage jersey bobblehead courtesy of Comcast.
  • Salute the Troops: As a salute to the troops and to celebrate today's Armed Services Day, the Pirates will be wearing special Pirates camouflaged jerseys for tonight's game.
  • Scratch and Win: Everyone is a winner with the special Scratch 'n Win presented by Eat 'n Park. All fans will receive a scratch-off ticket upon entering PNC Park and will win one of several special Eat 'n Park prizes.

Sunday, May 19, 2013 - Pirates vs. Houston Astros (1:35 p.m.) Kids Day

  • All Kids in Camo: Today all kids ages 14 and under will receive an A.J. Burnett replica camouflage jersey courtesy of Chevrolet.
  • Kids Day: Come down early and join the fun as the #1 Cochran Family Fun Zone will be open on Federal Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lined up outside PNC Park will be inflatable rides, face painting, information about the Bucaroos Kids Club and more.
  • Kids Run the Bases: Kids attending today's game are invited to stick around after to run the bases on the field at PNC Park.

Thursday, May 23, 2013 - Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs (12:35 p.m.)

  • Education Day: The Pittsburgh Pirates Education Days combine science, math, geography and history to create a fun and educational opportunity at PNC Park. Today, Education Day will begin when the gates open at 11 a.m. as each student will be given an interactive workbook as their teachers guide them through PNC Park on a treasure hunt. Students will visit several locations throughout PNC Park including Legacy Square, ballpark concession stands and the Weather Station located behind Center Field. They will search for answers to a variety of questions about baseball, science, math, history, and geography. During the game Students can continue to collect information throughout the game and answer questions pertaining to various baseball stats about various players.
  • Lunch with the Bucs: Need to get out of the office? Do Lunch with the Bucs, sponsored by Trib Total Media. Infield Grandstand tickets are just $17 and come with $5 in loaded value (save $6) and Outfield Box seats are just $28 and have $10 in loaded value (save $10). Pirates Charities 50/50 Raffles
New for the 2013 season are the Pirates Charities 50/50 Raffles. The 50/50 Raffles will take place during each Pirates home game throughout the season. Raffle ticket prices are three (3) tickets for $5, 10 tickets for $10 and 40 tickets for $20 with all proceeds benefiting Pirates Charities. Raffle ticket sales close after the last out in the sixth inning. The winning number will be drawn announced in the 8th inning and the winner will receive 50 percent of the total pot. Winning numbers will also be posted on pirates.com/5050raffle within three business days.

Wins for Kids
During the 2013 season, Pirates Charities will again partner with manager Clint Hurdle, his wife Karla and ROOT SPORTS to present the Wins for Kids fundraising campaign. The campaign encourages fans to donate a dollar amount for every Pirates win during the season or make a one-time donation to the program. All funds raised will benefit Pirates Charities and the Children's Institute of Pittsburgh's Prader-Willi Syndrome Program. 2013 Bucaroos Kids Club

Dynamic Pricing Section
New for 2013, the Pirates have expanded their dynamic pricing system to include both the Bleacher Reserve and Upper Bleacher Reserve sections of PNC Park. Tickets for the 2,400 seats, located in left field, will be placed on sale 10-days prior to each home game. The initial ticket price will then be adjusted- both lower and higher- in real time, based on several factors. As of May 13, this homestand features $9 tickets in the Upper Bleacher Reserved seats for Tuesday, May 21 vs. the Cubs. Where's the Parrot?
