Players, coaches, trophies await at Giants FanFest

Annual gathering slated for Saturday at AT&T Park

SAN FRANCISCO -- Madison Bumgarner, Buster Posey, Hunter Pence and manager Bruce Bochy will be among the headliners appearing at AT&T Park on Saturday when the Giants stage their annual FanFest.

Admission is free for the event that begins at 10 a.m. PT -- nobody will be admitted before that hour -- and concludes at 3 p.m. Parking in Lot A adjacent to the ballpark is $10. Activities include autograph-signing availabilities, question-and-answer sessions with players and coaches and flagship station KNBR's live broadcast from home plate.

The 2010, 2012 and 2014 World Series trophies are tentatively scheduled to be on display at the Barry Bonds Junior Giants Field off Terry Francois Boulevard, though the site is subject to change due to the possibility of inclement weather.

Besides Bumgarner, the Most Valuable Player of last year's World Series; Posey, San Francisco's stalwart catcher; and Pence, the dynamo of energy in right field and on offense, at least 14 other players from the Series roster are expected to attend: pitchers Jeremy Affeldt, Santiago Casilla, Tim Hudson, Javier Lopez, Sergio Romo, Hunter Strickland and Ryan Vogelsong; infielders Brandon Belt, Brandon Crawford, Matt Duffy and Joe Panik; outfielders Gregor Blanco and Travis Ishikawa; and catcher Andrew Susac. An appearance by right-hander Tim Lincecum has not been ruled out.

Other notable players due to be on hand include right-hander Matt Cain, who's recovering from right elbow and ankle surgery, and Casey McGehee, the club's new third baseman. The contingent of players also features right-handers George Kontos, Erik Cordier and Derek Law, infielder Adam Duvall and outfielder Gary Brown.

Bochy will be joined by six members of his coaching staff: pitching coach Dave Righetti, bullpen coach Mark Gardner, bench coach Ron Wotus, instructor Shawon Dunston and hitting coaches Hensley Meulens and Joe Lefebvre.

Club president Larry Baer, general manager Brian Sabean, Hall of Fame first baseman Orlando Cepeda and broadcasters Jon Miller, Duane Kuiper, Mike Krukow, Erwin Higueros and Tito Fuentes also will be on hand.
