Rangers host Orioles, Indians, and Marlins during nine-game homestand beginning Tuesday

Bark at the Park and Dairy MAX Weekend highlight activities

The Texas Rangers will host the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, and Miami Marlins during a nine-game homestand that begins on Tuesday, June 3.

The Rangers and Orioles open the homestand with 7:05 p.m. games on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, June 3, 4, and 5. The first 15,000 fans entering the gates on Tuesday will receive a copy of the official 2014 Texas Rangers Yearbook, which is hot off the presses. The first of two Nolan Ryan Beef Dollar Hot Dog Wednesdays on the homestand takes place on June 4. The always popular Bark at the Park presented by AvoDerm Natural Pet Food and Nylabone is scheduled for June 5 with over 800 dogs taking part in a pre-game on-field parade.

The Indians will be at Globe Life Park for games on Friday, June 6 (7:05 p.m.), Saturday, June 7 (3:05 p.m.), Sunday, June 8 (2:05 p.m.), and Monday, June 9 (7:05 p.m.). Dairy MAX Weekend begins with a post-game fireworks show on Friday themed to music from the legendary Beatles.

Prior to Saturday's game, players from the Rangers and the Indians will compete in the Dairy MAX Cow Milking Contest and Chocolate Milk Shootout on the field. On Sunday, the first 10,000 youngsters, ages 13 and under, that enter Globe Life Park will receive a Dairy MAX Chocolate Milk Glass. On June 9, the first 15,000 fans entering the park get a FOX Sports Southwest and Southwest Airlines Cap.

The Marlins make their first visit to Arlington since 2011 with 7:05 p.m. games on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 10-11 to close the homestand.

DOGS SAFE AT HOME CARD SET GOES ON SALE AT NORTH TEXAS ADOPT-A-PET EVENT ON JUNE 7 AT GLOBE LIFE PARK

Dogs Safe at Home, a full color 27-card set of photos of Rangers players with canine companions, will go on sale for the first time on Saturday, June 7 at a Humane Society of North Texas Adopt-a-Pet event at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

The Rangers have partnered with Merrick Pet Care to create Dogs Safe at Home, which features players posed with either their own dogs or dogs that are available for adoption from the Humane Society of North Texas adoption centers. The cards are 4 by 6 inches each and contain full information on each dog pictured. The card set also has pet care tips from the Humane Society of North Texas and a coupon for product discounts from Merrick Pet Care.

Rangers who participated in the photo shoots are Elvis Andrus, J.P. Arencibia, Adrian Beltre, Engel Beltre, Robinson Chirinos, Michael Choice, Shin-Soo Choo, Neal Cotts, Yu Darvish, Prince Fielder, Jason Frasor, Matt Harrison, Derek Holland, Colby Lewis, Leonys Martin, Mitch Moreland, Donnie Murphy, Alexi Ogando, Martin Perez, Jurickson Profar, Alex Rios. Robbie Ross, Jr., Tanner Scheppers, Joakim Soria, Geovany Soto, Shawn Tolleson, and Ron Washington.

Proceeds from the sales of the card set will benefit the Humane Society of North Texas, which will host the Adopt-a-Pet event outside the Third Base Gate beginning at 1:30 p.m. on June 7 prior to the Rangers-Indians 3:05 p.m. game. Fans purchasing the Dogs Safe at Home card set at the event will receive a sample three ounce size bag of Merrick Pet Care Texas Beef dry dog food. Beginning June 7, the card sets will also be available for purchase at the Texas Rangers Foundation Booth on the lower concourse near section 13 during all home games or the Majestic Grand Slam Gift Shop. The Humane Society of North Texas will also sell the card sets at its adoption centers in Dallas, Fort Worth, Benbrook, and two locations in Keller.

The card sets can also be purchased on-line at texasrangers.com/pets. The card sets are priced at $15.00 when purchased in person or $18.00 on-line.
