We saw this a couple weeks ago with Jose Bautista and now it’s Robinson Cano’s turn to get the same treatment. He tweeted a picture earlier today of his brand new shiny lifetime pass, awarded to those who have played for eight years in the bigs. Pretty awesome. An incredible achievement and the Fan Cave Dwellers congratulate Cano (who is pretty much our friend).
What’s kind of funny is that he hashtagged “no longer a rookie.” Does this mean that we could have called him “rook” when he came by a couple weeks ago? I wish we would have known this before. We could have pulled some classic rookie pranks on him. Made him carry a funny backpack or tell him to find the bag of curveballs or something.
