Rockies single-game tickets go on sale

DENVER -- Single-game tickets for all 81 Rockies games at Coors Field, which include a long list of special promotions for select games, are on sale and available online at Rockies.com.

The Rockies have already announced that they'll retire the jersey of longtime star first baseman Todd Helton during an Aug. 15-17 series with the Reds.

Other promotions include nine Sundays during which the first 15,000 fans will receive bobblehead gnomes honoring Helton and several current players; five Saturday games when the first 15,000 fans will receive collectible jerseys for players such as Nolan Arenado, Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki; "Purple Mondays" during which the first 5,000 fans will receive purple T-shirts and prizes will be awarded to fans wearing purple; and on May 2, the first 15,000 fans through the gates for a game against the Mets will receive a collectible MLB-branded baseball cap.

Other special schedule features are fireworks games against the Dodgers on July 3 and July 4, and against the D-backs on Sept. 19; country superstar Sara Evans' concert after the July 27 2:10 p.m. MT game against the Pirates; Faith Day on Aug. 24, featuring musical artist Jeremy Camp; Dollar Hot Dog Nights on April 8, May 6, June 10, July 8, Aug. 16 and Sept. 16; Photo Day and Team Poster Day on July 12, when fans are allowed on the field before the game against the Twins to snap photos with players, and all fans in attendance will receive the 2014 Rockies team poster; and Fan Appreciation Day on Sept. 21 -- the final scheduled regular-season game against the D-backs.

One way to enjoy the promotions and special events is to become a 2014 season-ticket holder. Fans can guarantee Opening Day tickets with any full season-ticket or 25- or 20-game mini-plan. Plans start at $220 per seat and are available to fit every budget.

Season tickets are available online at Rockies.com or by calling (303) ROCKIES (762-5437).

Single-game tickets, including a limited number of Opening Day tickets, went on sale Saturday, and are available online at Rockies.com, by phone at (303) ROCKIES, in person at the Coors Field Ticket Office, Rockies Dugout Stores, Kings Soopers and select City Market stores.
