CHICAGO - Chicago White Sox head groundskeeper Roger Bossard will host the first-of-its-kind Turf Clinic at U.S. Cellular Field on Wednesday, May 14. The Turf Clinic, co-hosted with Pro's Choice, includes a behind-the-scenes look at U.S. Cellular Field and lunch with the turf industry's leading experts from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Turf Clinic gives fans the opportunity to learn from and mingle with Bossard, Boston Red Sox head groundskeeper Dave Mellor, Colorado Rockies head groundskeeper Mark Razum and Chicago Cubs assistant head groundskeeper Justin Spillman. These speakers will discuss the latest techniques for infield maintenance, mound construction, drainage, mowing and fertilization.

"The prolonged winter created different challenges this year and sparked a lot of interest in the behind-the-scenes work on the field at U.S. Cellular Field," said Bossard. "I am happy to give fans answers to some of their field maintenance questions."

Registration is $50 for fans who sign up by the Wednesday, May 2, early bird deadline. Lunch is included with the clinic. After the early bird deadline, registration will be $65 and close on Friday, May 9. There are a limited number of tickets available and there will not be registration on the day of the event.
