Omaha lost the completion of a suspended game and a seven-inning contest at New Orleans. Local product Johnny Giavotella was 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Game 1. Xavier Nady and Irving Falu added two hits apiece. Falu entered the game in place of Brandon Wood, who started on May 1 and was later traded to the Orioles' organization. Willy Taveras doubled home two runs in the second game. Kelvin Herrera made his first appearance since being optioned, allowing an inherited run on a hit and a walk over two-thirds of an inning.

Rain postponed the series opener between Northwest Arkansas and San Antonio. A pair of seven-inning games are on tap for Sunday, with Danny Duffy toeing the rubber in Game 1. Duffy will be making his first appearance in game action since undergoing Tommy John surgery last June 13.

Justin Trapp was 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs in Game 1. In Game 2, 2012 second-rounder Sam Selman (5.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 SO) earned the win.
