Royals presented with spectacular American League Championship Rings by Jostens

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 6, 2015) - The Kansas City Royals today presented team members and staff with the 2014 American League Championship Rings (ALCS) at a special ceremony during the team's season opener at Kauffman Stadium. Created by Jostens, the leading national custom jewelry designer and producer, the one-of-a-kind Royals ALCS 2014 Championship Ring commemorates the team's remarkable third American League Championship.

"It was a great pleasure working with Jostens in crafting such a beautiful and unique commemorative keepsake which we will be awarding to our players and associates today," said Royals president Dan Glass. "Every team's goal is to celebrate its on-field accomplishments and it is with tremendous pride that we present this custom ring symbolic of the effort that went into winning the 2014 American League pennant, and it will be cherished by every team member."

Each of the Kansas City Royals 2014 American League Championship Rings is crafted in 10-karat white gold and weighs approximately 1.9 carats. The top of the ring boasts an interlocking design of 34 pave-set round diamonds creating the KC logo over a custom blue stone specifically color-matched to the iconic Kansas City Royals blue. Bases are loaded with four princess-cut diamonds, and the top and perimeter of the ring shimmer with 146 pave-set diamonds.

The right side of the ring features the American League logo in yellow gold, three round brilliant diamonds representing the team's third pennant win and the Royals logo script in white gold along with the championship year. The left side features the player's name, a banner celebrating the Royal's historic 8-0 playoff record and the Royals crown logo. The top of the crown is yellow gold and a brilliant custom blue KC stone shines through the white gold logo.

Jostens is honored to partner with the Kansas City Royals to celebrate their remarkable playoff journey with this championship ring," said Chris Poitras, vice president, Jostens. "The 2014 American League Championship Ring is customized to reflect a milestone in the Royal's history and recognizes the significant accomplishment of their players, coaches and the entire organization."

To celebrate this remarkable chapter in the team's history, the Royals and Jostens have collaborated to create a custom selection of personalized jewelry and collectibles for the entire Royals community.
