It’s a well-known fact that this year is the 20th anniversary of The Sandlot. Actors from the film have been making appearances all throughout baseball.
It’s a little known fact that their greatest appearance is tonight. SEVEN cast members, the writer/director/narrator and the producer will all be at the Salt Lake Bees game. It’s Sandlot Night at the ballpark. The actors will be taking batting practice, throwing out the first pitch and singing the seventh inning stretch; after the game, the movie will be shown in the outfield. Amazing. I sort of have one concern, though: I didn’t think so many cast members were allowed to be in one place at one time? Kind of like how the President and Vice President don’t travel together? Kinda concerning. Either way, it sounds like Sandlot Night is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
