Several Royals players headed for rehab stints

KANSAS CITY -- Pitcher Everett Teaford and second baseman Chris Getz will start their Minor League injury rehabilitation assignments with Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Both are expected to be in the lineup in the Storm Chasers' game against Round Rock.

Left-hander Jonathan Sanchez will make a third rehab start for Omaha after a rough outing on Sunday. He's been on the disabled list with biceps tendinitis. Teaford has been out with a lower abdominal strain, Getz with a left rib-cage contusion.

Manager Ned Yost said he'll go with four starting pitchers instead of five on the next two turns of the rotation. He won't need a fifth starter until June 16 in St. Louis. That positions Vin Mazzaro as the probable starter on Saturday and Bruce Chen on Sunday at Pittsburgh.
