Key things to watch for in today's games

All 30 teams are in action Wednesday, with games beginning on the East Coast in the afternoon and ending late on the West Coast. Catch all your favorite teams. Here are four things to watch for:

Wild Card contenders duke it out: MIN @ TB, 7:10 p.m. ET
The Twins and the Rays are quietly in the thick of the American League Wild Card race. Tampa Bay's Chris Archer is coming off a dominant performance in his last outing, delivering a one-hit shutout in Houston. Minnesota's Tyler Duffey is coming off a career-best outing in his third Major League start, lasting 7 2/3 innings and striking out eight against the Orioles.

Cueto looking to bounce back: BAL @ KC, 8:10 p.m. ET
Royals starter Johnny Cueto is looking to rebound from the worst start of his career last Friday, when he surrendered a career-high 13 hits and six earned runs to the Red Sox. The Orioles, meanwhile, are fighting to stay alive in the playoff race, having entered Tuesday with a five-game losing streak. Wei-Yin Chen takes the mound for Baltimore.

Historic stretch for Price: TOR @ TEX, 8:05 p.m. ET
David Price has given the Blue Jays everything they could have hoped for since coming over in a non-waiver Trade Deadline deal from Detroit. The left-hander is the first pitcher in franchise history to allow three or fewer runs while striking out six or more batters in each of his first four starts with the team. Can he make it five on Tuesday against Colby Lewis and the Rangers?

Looking for space: CHC @ SF, 10:15 p.m. ET
The Cubs will continue to try and distance themselves from the Giants in the race for the second National League Wild Card. Chicago has been on a tear recently, winning a Major League best 20 of its last 24 games to enter Tuesday with a 6 1/2-game lead over the Giants, who just lost five of seven on their most recent road trip to St. Louis and Pittsburgh.
