Two Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Free agent Minor League shortstop John Eshleman has been suspended for 50 games without pay after testing positive for metabolites of Nandrolone.  The suspension of Eshleman will be effective immediately upon his signing with another Major League organization.

Minnesota Twins Minor League catcher Michael Quesada has been suspended for 50 games without pay after testing positive for Methylhexaneamine.  The suspension of Quesada, who is currently on the roster of the Rookie-level Elizabethton Twins of the Appalachian League, is effective immediately.
