'Two minutes with...' veteran infielder Gonzalez

TAMPA, Fla. -- The "Two Minutes with…" series continues with non-roster invitee Alex Gonzalez, who the Orioles signed this spring. Gonzalez, 37, is a veteran of 15 big league seasons, and the shortstop played in 41 games for the Brewers in 2013.

Favorite food: My wife makes chicken with corn, bacon and a little sweet plantains. It's one of her recipes.

Favorite movie: "Training Day"

Hidden talent: I play the conga. Not a lot, but I've been doing it a year now. Somebody in Miami, a professional guy from Venezuela, taught me.

If I wasn't a baseball player I'd be: I'd play something in a band. I really like music a lot. If I didn't play baseball, I'd play something, whether it was the conga or piano. Something like that.

Favorite offseason place: I like to travel, but I always go back to my country, back to Venezuela to see my family and friends.

Prized possession: My family.
