What to watch for in today's games
Masterson on mound for Patriots' Day at Fenway; Simon looks to remain unbeaten
Although a dozen teams have the day off, there is still plenty of Major League action on Monday, starting with a traditional pre-noon first pitch in Boston.
Here are four things to watch for:
• Patriots' Day at Fenway: BAL @ BOS, 11:05 a.m. ET
The Red Sox play host to the Orioles in their traditional Patriots' Day morning ballgame at Fenway Park. The already significant day will take on added meaning on Monday, as it marks the two-year anniversary of the tragic Boston Marathon bombings. Red Sox newcomer Justin Masterson will toe the rubber for Boston, while the O's will counter with left-hander Wei-Yin Chen.

Sabathia, Simon trending opposite directions: NYY @ DET, 7:08 p.m. ET
Former Cy Young winner CC Sabathia will take the hill against the Tigers at Comerica Park still in search of his first victory on the young season. Meanwhile, Tigers newcomer Alfredo Simon enters the matchup sporting a 2-0 record to go along with a 2.03 ERA through his first two starts in a Detroit uniform.

• Bauer looks to continue hot start: CLE @ CWS, 8:10 p.m. ET
Although Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer finally conceded a hit his last time out, he remains undefeated entering Monday's clash with the White Sox. After tossing six hitless frames in his season debut, Bauer went three more innings in his second start before finally allowing a hit in the fourth. He's off to a 2-0 start with a 1.50 ERA through two starts.

• De La Rosa set for season debut, SDP @ COL, 8:40 p.m. ET
Rockies left-hander Jorge De La Rosa is set to make his season debut Monday night against righty Odrisamer Despaigne and the Padres. De La Rosa, the club's Opening Day starter in 2014, has been sidelined with a left groin strain since early in Spring Training. Despaigne, meanwhile, has allowed just one run off two hits over 11 2/3 innings, good for a 0.77 ERA to start his 2015 campaign.
