White Sox to offer fans with special ticket offers and incentives as #TargetSale trends on social media during the last day of MLB's Final Vote

Team will reward fans for support with the #TargetSale social media campaign

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox will reward fans with a special ticket offer as the hashtag #TargetSale trends on Twitter on the last day of Major League Baseball's Final Vote. Tweets that were sent starting at 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. CT today that include the hashtag #TargetSale will be tabulated as part of the overall vote total used to send Chris Sale to his third All-Star Game. All Sox fans will be rewarded with a special "Bonus Bux" discount for tickets to select July games based on the level that the designated hashtag is trending on Twitter.

The "Bonus Bux" reward will increase as the trending level of #TargetSale increases on Twitter. Fans will receive $5 in "Bonus Bux" if #TargetSale is trending in Chicago, $10 Bonus Bux if it is trending in the United States and $15 Bonus Bux if it is trending worldwide.

The offer is good for Lower Box or Outfield Reserved tickets to the following five White Sox games: July 18, 19, 21, 22 and 23 - game dates subject to availability. White Sox fans can redeem the offer by visiting whitesox.com/targetsale, calling 866-SOX-GAME or visiting the White Sox Box Office (Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5p.m. or Saturday-Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on non-game days).

Sale is attempting to become the first White Sox pitcher to make three consecutive All-Star teams since Jack McDowell in 1991-93. Sale was the winning pitcher at the 2013 Midsummer Classic at New York's Citi Field. He would rank among the AL leaders in every category with the required minimum IP. Sale looks to join teammates rookie first baseman Jose Abreu (1st All-Star appearance) and shortstop Alexei Ramirez (1st All-Star appearance).

White Sox fans can also vote to send Sale to the All-Star Game by texting A5 to 89269 and voting online at whitesox.com/vote or mlb.com/vote until 3 p.m. today.
