Francisco Peguero, the Giants' No. 10 prospect, lined a two-run single to center field with the bases loaded and two outs in the seventh inning to erase the Gigantes' 2-1 deficit. Peguero finished 2-for-4, as did Phillies No. 2 prospect Maikel Franco, who added a solo home run. Michael Martinez had provided Estrellas' only scoring with a two-run shot in the sixth. Ramon Ramirez pitched a scoreless ninth for the save. Box score

Toros 1, Escogido 0
Toros scored the lone run in the third on two singles (one a bunt), two throwing errors and a fielder's choice grounder. Toros left-hander Raul Valdes tossed seven scoreless innings, then handed things over to Neftali Feliz and Jose Valverde, who earned his sixth save. Neither team managed an extra-base hit, and they went a combined 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position. Box score

Aguiles 8, Licey 2
Aguiles capitalized on a throwing error to grab a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning, then tacked on some insurance late. Jermaine Curtis drove in three runs and was one of four Aguiles players with multiple hits, along with Yankees No. 6 prospect Zoilo Almonte. Box score

Santurce 7, Mayaguez 1
Edwin Maysonet struck the big blow with a sixth-inning grand slam that put Santurce ahead, 6-1. Jonathan Singleton, the Astros' No. 2 prospect, added a solo shot, while starting pitcher James Houser gave up one run over 5 1/3 innings for the win. Nationals No. 4 prospect Michael Taylor had two hits for Mayaguez, while Randy Ruiz notched three. Box score

Ponce 5, Carolina 4 (12 innings)
Tigers prospect Jordan Lennerton capped a 2-for-5 game with a walk-off single to right field in the 12th, five innings after Carolina had tied the score with a four-run frame. Jose Ruiz had three hits, homered twice and drove in three runs for Ponce, while Adalberto Flores picked up the win by holding Carolina scoreless over the final 2 1/3 innings. Box score

Caribes 3, La Guaira 2
The Padres' Alexi Amarista hit the game-tying RBI single in the fourth inning and the go-ahead RBI single in the sixth for Caribes. Teammate Cory Aldridge went 2-for-2 with two walks and an RBI. Jamie Romak homered for La Guaira and had two hits overall, as did the Royals' Salvador Perez and the Giants' Hector Sanchez. Box score

Caracas 7, Aragua 1
Caracas grabbed control with a five-run second inning, getting a solo homer from Indians No. 17 prospect Jesus Aguilar and a two-run shot from Ramon Cabrera. Alex Gonzalez had three hits for Caracas, the D-backs' Gerardo Parra had two, and Guillermo Moscoso tossed five solid innings for the win. Luis Maza led Aragua with two hits. Box score

Magallanes 9, Zulia 4
Lew Ford's bases-loaded triple capped a four-run sixth inning for Magallanes, which took a 5-4 lead, then added three more in the following frame. Renny Osuna led Magallanes with three hits, and six relievers held Zulia scoreless over the final 7 2/3 innings. Box score

Mexican Pacific League

Hermosillo 9, Guasave 1
Carlos Gastelum produced three hits and an RBI for Hermosillo, which led 7-0 by the end of the third inning. Juan Oramas tossed five scoreless innings to improve to 6-1, while Guasave managed only one extra-base hit. Box score

Navojoa 5, Mexicali 4
Delwyn Young tied the game for Navojoa with a solo homer in the bottom of the fifth, and Luis Fonseca provided the go-ahead RBI single in the sixth. The Navojoa bullpen produced four scoreless innings, and Jose Manuel Lopez picked up his fifth save by striking out three in 1 1/3 innings. Russell Branyan homered and walked twice for Mexicali. Los Mochis 8, Mazatlan 7
Jake Fox's solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning broke a 7-7 tie and capped a furious late rally for Los Mochis. They trailed 7-2 after Mazatlan's six-run fifth but scored three in the seventh and three more in the eighth, the first two on Brian Burgamy's homer. Blake Gillen had two hits, including a solo shot, for Mazatlan. Box score

Obregon 5, Culiacan 3 (11 innings)
Obregon scored the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th when Albino Contreras was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, and two batters later, Dan Robertson walked with the bases full to force home another run. Robertson also homered earlier in the game. Culiacan had pulled even in the eighth on a three-run homer from Luis Cruz, who finished 2-for-4 with two walks. Box score
