A tight one throughout, where runs came at a premium, it was a walk-off bunt single by Phillies infielder Freddy Galvis that proved to be the difference on Thursday night. Luis Ugueto began the bottom half of the 10th inning with his first double of the season. Both starters combined to allow just one run on eight hits in 11 innings. Box score

Lara 5, Aragua 3

Lara was led by Scott McGregor, who went six innings and allowed three runs on six hits for his first win of the season. Three Lara players had two hits and Jose Yepez had an important two-run home run in the fourth inning. Omar Poveda took his fourth loss of the season. Box score

Even though La Guaira committed five errors in the game, the team came away with the victory. White Sox No. 9 prospect Carlos Sanchez went 3-for-5 with an RBI and C.J. Retherford hit a three-run home run in the third inning, his seventh of the season. Box score
