Worth noting

• Sunday marked the third day in a row that third baseman Hanley Ramirez was not in Miami's lineup. Ramirez has missed time with an infected right hand, which was looked at by a doctor on Friday. Before the series in Pittsburgh, Ramirez had appeared in every game for the Marlins but one. He's hitting .246 with 14 homers and 47 RBIs. He also has 14 stolen bases.

In place of Ramirez, Greg Dobbs started at third base and batted sixth in the lineup Sunday. In the first two games against the Pirates, Dobbs went 3-for-8. On the season, he's batting .305 with two home runs and 22 RBIs.
