Worth noting

• Non-roster pitcher Jason Ray, who didn't throw the first few days of camp because of a tender arm, threw his first bullpen session on Sunday. There's still no timetable as to when Jerry Sullivan, also slowed by a tender arm, will do the same.

• Center fielder Cameron Maybin (sore right wrist) and infielder Logan Forsythe (sore right knee) didn't take part in full drills on Sunday, the second time in as many days they were sidelined. Both had cortisone shots on Saturday and could be back on the field as soon as Monday. Manager Bud Black said Forsythe is "probably a little ahead" of Maybin.

• Black is still not ready to name his Opening Day starting pitcher. Heck, he's not quite willing to reveal who will start in Friday's charity game against the Mariners, the first of 38 exhibitions this spring. However, he could name names as soon as Monday or Tuesday. Because the team is playing so many games, the projected starters who will likely be in the rotation likely won't appear in games in Arizona until the second week or so.
