• Right-hander Chad Billinglsey, who had Tommy John surgery on April 25, had his brace removed on Thursday.

• Class A Great Lakes catcher Tyler Ogle and right-handers Jharel Cotton and Carlos Frias were named to the Midwest League All-Star Game.

Ogle is hitting .275 with seven home runs and 28 RBIs in 54 games. Cotton has held opponents to a .200 batting average and owns a 3.55 ERA in 11 games (nine starts). Frias is 4-3 with a 2.56 ERA in 11 starts.
