Worth noting

• The crowd for Sunday's induction ceremony at the Clark Sports Center was estimated at 48,000, making it unofficially the third largest ever.

The largest crowd was in 2007, when an estimated 82,000 showed up to help honor Cal Ripken Jr. and Tony Gwynn. An estimated 50,000 were on hand for a seven-man class in 1999 that was highlighted by Nolan Ryan, George Brett, Robin Yount and Orlando Cepeda. Sunday's throng surpassed the 40,000 that showed up for Mike Schmidt, Richie Ashburn and three others in 1995.

• Hall of Fame chairman Jane Forbes Clark announced during Sunday's ceremony that both Hank Aaron and Tom Seaver have donated their entire baseball collections to the HOF as part of the institution's 75th anniversary celebration.
