Yankees to sign former Mets righty Maine
The Yankees will sign right-hander John Maine to a Minor League deal, a baseball source told MLB.com on Friday.

He has not pitched in the Minors this season, and last pitched in the Majors in 2010, with the Mets. He is said to be in good health after undergoing shoulder surgery in 2010.
The Yankees have not commented on their plans to sign Maine, who has been working out with them since parting ways with the Red Sox. He will not immediately be assigned to Triple-A.
Maine is 41-36 with a 4.35 ERA in 108 career Major League appearances, 105 of them starts.
