Dec. 9: Phillies re-sign Schwarber on 5-year deal
Schwarber and the Phillies are running it back.

On Tuesday, Philadelphia officially re-signed Schwarber to a five-year contract. The deal is worth $150 million, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.

The 2025 National League MVP runner-up garnered interest from many clubs. The Pirates offered Schwarber a four-year, $125 million deal, and the Mets, Reds, Orioles, Giants and Red Sox were all linked to the slugger.

But bringing back Schwarber had always been Philadelphia's No. 1 offseason priority, and the Phils got it done before the close of the Winter Meetings. More >
