The Pittsburgh Pirates announce plans to establish a team Hall of Fame as a way to pay tribute to and celebrate the greatest players and important figures in team history. Tonight, as part of the Club’s Steve Blass celebration, the team announced that Blass will be a member of the 2020 inaugural class in recognition of his 60 seasons of dedication to the Pirates organization.

Each season the Pirates will induct a limited number of members into the Club’s Hall of Fame, beginning with the inaugural 2020 class. Every future inductee will forever be recognized with a permanent display within PNC Park, celebrating their accomplishments.

This offseason the Pirates will unveil addition details of the Hall of Fame display and selection process, along with how fans will have the opportunity to take part in the selection process.
