All five victories came during a five-start span from 4/15-5/9, during which he went 5-0 with a 0.88 ERAand fanned 38 batters in 30.2 innings. Underwent season-ending "Tommy John" surgery on 7/1 after leaving his start on 6/7. The surgery wasperformed by Dr. James Andrews.
