John Joseph Klein...graduated from Osseo High School in Minnesota...played at CHS Field in St. Paul in Section Finals in 2018 and 2019, as well as in the summer of 2020 as part of the "Senior Salute Tournament" following the cancelled high school baseball season...pitched collegiately at Iowa Central Community College for two years from 2021-22, going 13-6, 4.35 ERA (134.1 IP, 65 ER), with 69 walks and 165 strikeouts in 24 career starts...participated in 2026 TwinsFest at Target Field.

Began season with Double-A Wichita and pitched mostly out of bullpen through mid-June before transitioning to starting rotation...Named Twins Minor League Pitcher of the Week three times: May 18, June 22 and June 29...Set season-high with nine strikeouts on June 25 vs. Springfield (5 IP)...Promoted to Triple-A St. Paul on Aug. 4...Began in Saints' bullpen for three relief outings from August 6-22 then moved to rotation and made four starts for Saints from Aug. 29-end of season...Combined to go 7-10, 3.98 ERA (106.1 IP, 47 ER) with 37 walks, 128 strikeouts and a .234 opponent batting average in 31 games (15 starts)...went 5-5, 3.71 ERA (60.2 IP, 25 ER) in 15 starts, compared to 2-5, 4.34 ERA (45.2 IP, 22 ER) in 16 relief appearances...Held left-handed batters to a .233 average with a .628 OPS, compared to .234 vs. right-handed batters with a .665 OPS...Added to Twins' 40-man roster on Nov. 18.
