Rays Museum

The Rays Museum, located in the four Left Field alcoves on the Field Level, was created to highlight the history of the franchise since its inception. The museum features items that tell the story of the Tampa Bay Rays and Devil Rays, and each alcove will highlight distinct features of the organization’s history. Current exhibits include the club’s American League Championship seasons, the Devil Rays era, some of the franchise’s most impactful players and more.

The rays museum continues to evolve over time to provide baseball fans a complete picture into the rich history of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Chasing Pennants
Chasing Pennants

The exhibit highlights the American League Championship seasons. It tells the story of the 2008 team that went from “worst-to-first,” shocking the American League on its way to its first AL pennant. The exhibit also highlights the 2020 team and its COVID-shortened season, as well as the historic run by Randy Arozarena.

Hello, Big Leagues

For the first decade of its existence in Major League Baseball, the club was known as the Devil Rays. The exhibit shows the distinct Devil Rays uniforms and gear, detailing how the franchise changed its look early on. It also features items from the inaugural game and season, bringing fans back in time to when the team was first introduced to St. Petersburg.

Rays Cave
Rays Cave

The Rays have featured some of the most impactful players and personalities in the league. The Rays Cave highlights individuals such as Joe Maddon, Don Zimmer, Ben Zobrist and David Price by showcasing their awards, All-Star Game uniforms, road trip attire and promotional items to show how they impacted the franchise and its fans.

Rays Greats Clubhouse

The Rays Greats Clubhouse honors players who helped put the Rays on the map and established the franchise in the league. It highlights Fred McGriff and Wade Boggs, early members of the club who provided legitimate star power, as well as Carl Crawford, James Shields and Evan Longoria, who helped usher in a new era of baseball at Tropicana Field.

The Tampa Bay Rays are committed to preserving and celebrating the history of the Devil Rays and Rays through collecting, archiving and curating artifacts and stories which highlight the most important moments, people and players in the organization’s history.
