This Fan Guide is designed to assist our fans by presenting information about Tampa Bay Rays/Tropicana Field offerings and accommodations. The information is presented in alphabetical order for your ease of use. Enjoy the season!

A

ADA ACCESSIBILITY

Tropicana Fieldā€™s staff aims to provide an enjoyable experience for all guests within the Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines. Accessible parking is in Lots 1 and 7, subject to availability. See Parking at Tropicana Field for details. Guests can find accessible seating options throughout the ballpark.

The Rays are also proud to provide a wheelchair transport service. The Rolling Rays are available at Gates 1 and 5 on a first-come, first-served basis. The Rays offer a Sensory Bag at all Guest Services locations for those needing sensory support, and a Sensory Room is available on the suite level of Tropicana Field.

AEROVANTI CLUB

The AeroVanti Club is located on the Club Level of Tropicana Field, just below the suites. Here you can watch the game live from the first base line or from any of the dozens of flat screen televisions. Premium benefits for AeroVanti Club Season Members include an all-inclusive buffet, bar service (beer, wine and soda are complimentary) & private restrooms. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Guests may not bring alcoholic beverages into Tropicana Field, nor may guests take any alcoholic beverages out of the ballpark, including from suites. Florida law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. Guests, therefore, will be required to show proper ID when purchasing alcoholic beverages at Tropicana Field. Two alcoholic beverages are allowed per person, per purchase. The sale of alcohol stops in the middle of the 8th inning.

ANIMALS

Animals are prohibited from entering Tropicana Field, unless explicitly allowed for specific dates (i.e., Dog Day at the Rays). Service animals are permitted for all games and events in accordance with the U.S Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Disability Rights Section, definition of ā€œService Animal.ā€ Please refer to: https://www.ada.gov/service_animals_2010.htm

ATM MACHINES

Republic Bank ATMs can be found throughout the ballpark:

  • One Republic Bank ATM at Gate 1, 100 Level Concourse
  • One Republic Bank ATM at Gate 3, 100 Level Concourse
  • One Republic Bank ATM at the Republic Bank Draft Room
  • One Republic Bank ATM at the DEX Imaging Home Plate Club

Reverse ATM Machines can be found across from Gate 3 Guest Services Desk and in the 3rd base food hall.

Tropicana Field is a cash-free facility.

AWAY GAMES

Major League Baseball teams, including the Rays, do not handle public sale of tickets for road games. You may contact the host team directly for tickets or visit mlb.com.

BAGS

Backpacks, coolers and bags of any kind exceeding 16" x 8" are not permitted through Tropicana Field security. Personal bags smaller than this size, medical device bags and diaper bags accompanying a young child are permitted. For more information, visit raysbaseball.com/security.

BALLPARK APP

Purchase, manage and scan your digital tickets and parking, order food and drinks, access Season Member discounts on concessions and merchandise and more. The Ballpark app is free in your app store. For more information, visit raysbaseball.com/Ballparkapp.

BANNERS AND SIGNS

Banners and signs are permitted and may be displayed in the ballpark as long as they are baseball-related, do not interfere with the playing field or other ballpark signage or inhibit the view of other fans. Signs must not include derogatory language, gestures or symbols. Tropicana Field management reserves the right to remove any sign displayed on the property.

BASEBALL LOOPER TROLLEY

The Baseball Shuttle will be operating during the 2023 season. For more information, visit https://loopertrolley.com/baseball-shuttle.

BROOMS

Brooms shorter than 3ā€™ are allowed inside the ballpark. They must not impede other guestsā€™ views or cause safety concerns. Sticks and poles of any other type are not permitted at any time.

BOX OFFICE (Tropicana Field)

All tickets and parking passes are mobile only and available through the MLB Ballpark app. Tropicana Fieldā€™s Box Office is open at Gate 1 and 4 on game days for mobile ticket assistance starting 90 minutes before first pitch. Box Office associates can assist you with accessing the Ballpark app on your smartphone. You may also scan the QR code at Box Office windows using the camera app on your smartphone to purchase tickets.

On game days, beginning 90 minutes before first pitch, the box office windows at gate 1 and gate 4 will open for customer assistance. Box Office associates will be available to assist you with accessing the ballpark app on your smartphone.

BOX OFFICE (Charlotte Sports Park)

Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, Florida, is the Spring Training home of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Charlotte Sports Park Box Office is open on spring training home game dates for customer service beginning at 11 a.m., and closes at the 7th inning. All ticket sales are online only through www.raysbaseball.com/spring.

Please note the Charlotte Sports Park Box Office only sells tickets for Spring Training home games played at Charlotte Sports Park.

Note: For the 2023 Spring Training season, all remaining home games will be played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. The facility will operate differently with respect to parking, gate access, seating areas, concessions and merchandise areas, and other protocol and policies for spring training games as compared to the regular season. BATTING PRACTICE

Rays batting practice takes place 2.5 hours before first pitch. The visiting team's batting practice takes place ninety (90) minutes before game time and lasts approximately one hour. Batting practice is taken at the discretion of the team and is subject to change. For more information, see Pregame Timeline.

BIRTHDAYS

CAMERAS AND VIDEO RECORDERS

Guests are permitted to bring cameras and video recorders into the ballpark provided they are not for commercial use. Cameras and video recorders must be hand-held; tripods are prohibited. Fans may not obstruct aisles or the view of others. Lenses must be less than 12 inches.

CASH-FREE

Tropicana Field remains cash-free. Mobile payments, Rays Pay via the MLB Ballpark app, and credit and debit cards are accepted for all concessions and merchandise purchases. To learn more about Rays Pay via the MLB Ballpark app, and discounts for Season Members, visit raysbaseball.com/mobile.

CATERING

CHARGING STATIONS

ChargeFUZE stations are now available throughout Tropicana Field at the following locations: Budweiser Porch, Gate 1, Gate 3, Gate 5 and outside the entrance to the AeroVanti Club.

CHILDREN

Age requirement regarding tickets

Once a child reaches their second birthday, they will need a game admission ticket.

By using the ticket, the ticket holder, on their own behalf and on behalf of any minor accompanying said ticket holder to the game, is hereby deemed to have given all grants of rights, releases and waivers on behalf of any minor as their parent, guardian or authorized agent have given.

Wristbands for children noting your familyā€™s seating section, row and seat numbers are available at Gate 1 and Gate 3 Guest Services.

COLOR GUARD

Guests inquiring about serving as color guard prior to a game should submit a letter of interest to: [email protected] or Color Guard, Tropicana Field, One Tropicana Drive, St. Petersburg, FL 33705.

DEROGATORY LANGUAGE

Derogatory language is prohibited, whether spoken or appearing on clothing or a sign, as determined by the Tampa Bay Rays in its sole and absolute discretion. Derogatory language is defined as:

  • Relating to another individual's race, color, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry or other personal trait or characteristic that is derogatory, insensitive, or otherwise is deemed offensive by the Club, including, but not limited to, slurs, jokes, stereotypes or other inappropriate remarks;
  • Constituting harassment of, threatening or advocating violence against, an individual or group of individuals,
  • Containing obscene, profane, indecent, offensive and/or sexually explicit words or phrases, and/or
  • Violating applicable local, state or federal laws, rules or regulations,

whether such language is directed at or relates to any one or more of the following:

  • Attendees at the game or other event
  • Players
  • Umpires or other event officials
  • Baseball officials
  • Club officials, including, but not limited to, owners, executives and employees
  • Event staff, including, but not limited to, fan hosts, ushers, ticket takers, security personnel, police, parking personnel, cleaning personnel, medical personnel and concessions personnel (collectively, the "Event Staff").

The Rays value the importance of a fan-friendly atmosphere at Tropicana Field. As such, the Club will not tolerate the use of any Derogatory Language by any person. The Club will eject any person from Tropicana Field and the Tropicana Field property for the use of any Derogatory Language. The Club also reserves the right to trespass any person from the Tropicana Field property, for such length of time as the Club, in its sole and absolute discretion, deems appropriate, for the use of any Derogatory Language. A person's use of Derogatory Language also may lead to the person's arrest, as determined by the appropriate law enforcement personnel.

If any person attending a game or other event at Tropicana Field hears or observes another person or persons using Derogatory Language, that person should contact the nearest Fan Host staff member or text ā€œRaysā€ to 69050 with the issue and the location of the incident. The Club will make periodic public address announcements regarding this policy and the incident reporting system.

DEX IMAGING HOME PLATE CLUB

The seats in this luxury seating area are among the closest in baseball - starting only 50 feet from home plate. DEX Imaging Home Plate Club Season Members receive in-seat service, complimentary food and drinks, access to the AeroVanti Club and to a private dining area inside the AeroVanti Club. EJECTION/TRESPASS/DENIED ENTRY

The Rays reserve the right to deny entry, eject and trespass any individual from the ballpark and ballpark property for any of the following: fan interference, public intoxication, using offensive or derogatory language, wearing garments with offensive or derogatory language, disruptive, dangerous or obnoxious behavior, throwing objects, smoking inside the ballpark, public indecency, nudity, urinating outside of the restrooms, entering restricted areas, violating laws, ordinances and facility policies and any other behavior deemed inappropriate by Rays management.

Located at Gates 1, 2, 4, and 6.

ESCALATORS

Located at Gates 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 on the 100, 200 and 300 levels.

FAN INTERFERENCE

Fans are not to interfere with any ball in play or throw objects onto the field. Anyone doing so will be subject to ejection from the ballpark. Anyone venturing on the playing field will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

FIRST AID

First Aid presented by Orlando Health St. Petersburg can be found between Gates 3 and 4 on the 100 Level, behind home plate. The clinic is staffed by St. Petersburg Fire/Rescue Medical Team.

FOOD POLICY

Outside food or beverage is not permitted, with the exception of one sealed, personal-sized bottle of water. Exceptions can be made for food specifically needed for medical reasons or childcare.

FRONT OFFICE

The Rays Executive Offices can be found on the east side of Tropicana Field near the Gate 1 Box Office. The offices are open Monday ā€“ Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For Box Office hours, see Box Office.

GAME-USED MERCHANDISE

Get your own MLB-authenticated, game-used and autographed items from your favorite Rays players. Choose from jerseys, bats, helmets, bases and more. These one-of-a-kind items are located at the Rays Authentics Store in Center Field on the Field Level next to the Main Team Store. GATES

Gates open 90 minutes before first pitch for Monday-Friday Rays home games and two hours before first pitch on Opening Day and Saturday-Sunday Rays home games. Gate 4 is open to suite holders and The Baldwin Group Club ticket holders. All gates are wheelchair accessible.

GUEST CODE OF CONDUCT

The Tampa Bay Rays appreciate that all fans observe our ground rules for guests. Please contact the nearest Fan Host staff member if, for any reason, another guest is interfering with your enjoyment of the game. You may also text ā€œRAYSā€ with your issue and location to 69050 for assistance.

  • Avoid derogatory, foul, abusive or obscene language or gestures.
  • Please drink responsibly. Do not drink alcohol if you are underage.
  • Clothing and footwear are required to be worn at all times while at Tropicana Field.
  • Clothing considered to be derogatory, indecent, obscene, or offensive in nature and/or that detracts from our family-friendly atmosphere will not be tolerated.
  • Stay off of the playing field and/or any restricted area.
  • Please sit only in your ticketed seat and show your ticket when requested.
  • Tropicana Field is a smoke-free facility. Smoking, vaping and tobacco use is not permitted on the property. The use of all tobacco products (City Ordinance Section 20-124) and e-cigarettes is prohibited. There are no ā€œSmoking Areasā€ inside or outside the ballpark.
  • Follow staff directions in case of emergency.
  • Please help us keep Tropicana Field clean by throwing your litter in the proper trash cans.

Guests who choose not to adhere to these ground rules may be in violation of ballpark or city ordinances and are subject to intervention, which may lead to denied admission into the ballpark, ejection from the ballpark and/or arrest.

The Tampa Bay Rays and Tropicana Field management reserves unto itself, and itself alone, the right to determine what is considered indecent, obscene or offensive, what is unruly or rowdy behavior, what constitutes a disturbance and what items may or may not be allowed into the ballpark.

Enjoy a unique vantage point overlooking Left Field from private tables of four. Bar snacks, hot dogs and in-seat delivery of complimentary beverages including Coca-Cola products, beer and wine, are all included in the ticket price. LOST AND FOUND

Guests may report or inquire about lost items during games at the nearest Guest Services location (Gates 1, 3 and 4). Guests may also email [email protected] to report and describe any lost items and/or to schedule appointments to pick up items that have been found. Please allow 1-2 business days for a response to coordinate pick up.

MEETING ROOMS

Meeting rooms are located on the Club Level along the left-field foul line. These rooms are available for purchase for pregame meetings or parties. Each room accommodates 25 people and can be joined to seat up to 100. Catering and AV equipment are available. Call 727-825-3406 or email [email protected] for more information.

MOBILE ORDERING

Tired of long lines at concessions? Order ahead and avoid lines using the MLB Ballpark app. Navigate to the Tampa Bay Rays page on the Ballpark app and select the ā€œOrder Food + Drinksā€ tile to view all locations that offer mobile ordering within the ballpark. NETTING

The Tampa Bay Rays are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for each person who enters Tropicana Field. Protective netting extends from section 125 to 126 at Tropicana Field.

There is some amount of netting in front of the seating sections listed below; the height and coverage of the netting varies by section.

Netting Sections: 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 126

Please understand that it is not possible for a map to show the precise location of the netting and/or to what extent netting may or may not impact your view. In addition, regardless of the location of netting, fans in the sections listed above are still exposed to objects leaving the field of play, including bats and bat fragments, and thrown or batted balls; ticket holder assumes all risk of injury. No seat in Tropicana Field is free from the risk of injury inherent in attending a live baseball game. NURSING ROOM

A private room for nursing or pumping is available behind home plate at the Orlando Health Fan Care Clinic. A keypad door lock ensures privacy, and the room is sanitized after each use. Use code 33705 for access. For more information, please visit raysbaseball.com/nursing-room.

Paging is available in the event of an extreme emergency at Gates 1, 3 or 4.

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION

The Rays are pleased to offer a limited number of prime parking areas on a prepaid basis. If Rays lots sell out before the first pitch, fans may park in overflow parking throughout downtown St. Petersburg. Visit raysbaseball.com/parking to learn more.

  • ADA Accessible Parking ā€“ Located in Lots 1 and 7 (subject to availability).
  • Baseball Looper Trolly ā€“ The Baseball Shuttle will operate during the 2023 season. For more information, go to www.loopertrolley.com/baseball-shuttle.
  • Charter Buses ā€“ Buses may drop off passengers along 4th Avenue S. near Gate 3. Buses can park for free on 2nd Avenue S. between 9th and 10th Streets (subject to availability).
  • Electric Vehicles - Charging stations are located in Lot 7 and Lot 5 and is first-come, first-served.
  • Prepaid Parking ā€“ Convenient prepaid parking is available on a single-game basis based on availability in Lots 1, 2 & 5. Prepaid parking can be purchase in advance of the game on raysbaseball.com/parking
  • Overflow Parking - Rays prepaid parking often sells out. If Rays lots sell out before the first pitch, fans may park in overflow parking throughout downtown St. Petersburg. Non Rays owned lot options can be found here.
  • Rideshare ā€“ Pickup is located on 4th Avenue S. by the lot 7 entrance/exit
  • RVs/Campers/Large Vans ā€“ Parking for RVs, campers, and large vans is 2x the general parking rate for each game. Recreational Vehicles are not permitted to park overnight on Tropicana Field property. Upon arrival, accommodations can be made for these vehicles on a game-to-game basis; however, in general, they must park in the same location as buses on 2nd Avenue S. between 9th and 10th Streets.
  • Season Member Parking - Rays Season Members may purchase discounted parking in Lots 1, 2, 3, 5 & 6, based on availability. Visit raysbaseball.com/parking for more information.
  • Taxis - Taxis can be called upon at any Guest Services location (Gates 1, 3 and 4. Drop off is on Tropicana Drive in front of Gate 4. Pick up is on 16th Street, South of 4th Avenue S.
  • Tropicana Drive - Tropicana Drive is located in front of Gate 4. It is a one-way drive, with the entrance on 16th Street S. and the exit onto 4th Avenue S. The drive is reserved as a drop-off and pick-up point for fans with accessibility needs and drop-off for rideshare vehicles.

PREGAME TIMELINE

Batting and infield practice are taken at the discretion of each team and are subject to change. Access to the seating bowl to watch practice opens 90 minutes prior to game time for all games.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The Tampa Bay Rays are committed to enabling a safe and fun ballpark experience. All of the items listed below are prohibited from Tropicana Field.

  • Backpacks, coolers and bags of any kind exceeding 16" x 8"
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, and chemical sprays larger than .5 ounce.
  • Fireworks or other explosives
  • Items that could be projectiles
  • Cameras with lenses longer than 12ā€
  • Bullhorns, percussion instruments, airhorns and other excessively loud noisemakers
  • Lasers
  • Brooms longer than 3ā€™
  • Anything that can obstruct the view of other fans
  • Wrapped packages
  • Footwear with wheels
  • Any item deemed to pose risk to the health or safety of others
  • Prohibited items will not be stored. If you have any of these items with you, they may be returned to your vehicle or discarded.

Radios and TVs 16" x 16" x 8" or smaller are permitted inside the ballpark. If any of these items interfere with a guest's enjoyment of the game, the devices must be turned off. The Rays flagship radio station is 620 WDAE, and can be received inside Tropicana Field.

SHORTSTOP

Experience checkout-free shopping at the Shortstop at the Budweiser Porch. Simply tap or insert a credit card or scan your QR code via the Rays Pay Wallet to enter. SMOKING/VAPING

Tropicana Field is a smoke-free facility. Smoking, vaping and tobacco use is not permitted on the property. The use of all tobacco products (City Ordinance Section 20-124) and e-cigarettes is prohibited. There are no ā€œSmoking Areasā€ inside or outside the ballpark.

Following a joint assessment of the damage to Charlotte Sports Park caused by Hurricane Ian, Charlotte County and the Rays determined the facility is unable to host this yearā€™s spring training games. For the 2023 spring training season, all remaining spring training home games will be played at Tropicana Field.

STROLLERS

Strollers are permitted inside Tropicana Field, provided they can be stored beneath a seat during the game. Strollers may not block walkways or aisles. If it cannot fit beneath your seat, a stroller must be checked at the 1st or 3rd base food hall under the escalator. The Tampa Bay Rays are not responsible for lost or damaged strollers. Strollers are prohibited from escalators.

Tailgating is permitted at Tropicana Field. Parking lots open three hours before first pitch. Charcoal grills are prohibited. Tailgating guests cannot take up multiple parking spots or block the drive lane.

Umbrellas are permitted inside the ballpark and must be placed under a seat. Umbrella bags are available at gates when necessary.

UNAUTHORIZED TRANSMISSION

No person admitted to the ballpark shall transmit or aid in the transmission of any description, account, picture or reproduction of any baseball game (including pregame or postgame activities) or other events conducted at Tropicana Field, unless expressly authorized by the Tampa Bay Rays.

Water fountains are available throughout Tropicana Field.

WHEELCHAIR TRANSPORTS

The Rays are proud to provide a wheelchair transport service. The Rolling Rays are available at Gates 1 and 5 on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchair assistance is provided from the gate to your seat upon arrival and from your seat to the gate at the end of the game. Wheelchair transporters are not allowed to leave Tropicana Field to pick-up or deliver patrons outside of the gates. Wheelchairs are not available for rent or borrow for any portion of the game.
