Scoreboard Messages

Create a lasting memory at your next Tampa Bay Rays game by purchasing a scoreboard message! All proceeds directly support the official charity of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Due to limited availability of scoreboard messages per game, all online orders are processed in the order they are received. Messages run on a first-come, first-served basis, and your credit card will be charged upon approval. Message run times vary slightly by board but generally appear for approximately 6–8 seconds.

Important Information

  • Late messages will not be accepted.
  • All messages must follow the Rays guidelines. We may edit messages that do not meet these guidelines to the best of our ability. If we are unable to appropriately edit or correct a message, it will not be accepted, and your card will not be charged.
  • Orders cannot be taken over the phone—please be mindful of order deadlines and availability.
  • If a game does not appear on the form, it is sold out.
  • Prior to messages running, the videoboard will display “Fangrams.”
  • Messages will appear for approximately 6-8 seconds in the middle of the 3rd inning on the board you purchased. Messages do not run while the game is in play.
  • There are no refunds on scoreboard messages, so please make sure that parties needing to see the message are in viewing area of the board.

Message Guidelines

  • All messages must comply with Tampa Bay Rays guidelines.
  • Messages that are obscene, offensive, or include foul language will not be accepted.
  • Messages cannot include photos, emojis, other MLB team names, or MLB player names.
  • Messages may not be used for commercial purposes. Social media handles, phone numbers, email addresses, and web URLs are not permitted.

Spring Training Scoreboard Messages

Charlotte Sports Park Main Board

  • Scoreboard message orders must be submitted by 12:59 p.m. on the day of the game. Late messages will not be accepted.
  • Messages for this display require a $20 donation to the official charity of the Tampa Bay Rays.
  • Messages may be up to 75 characters, including spaces and punctuation.
  • This board is located in left-center field. Outfield seating or standing room may have limited visibility.
  • We are unable to provide a digital copy of any purchased message.
  • The Tampa Bay Rays reserve the right to edit messages to meet these guidelines. If a message cannot be edited appropriately, it will not be accepted, and your card will not be charged.
  • If a game is postponed, canceled, or rescheduled due to inclement weather and it impacts your message, please email Scoreboard@RaysBaseball.com.

Regular Season Scoreboard Messages

Tropicana Field Main Board

  • Message orders must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. the day before the game. Late submissions will not be accepted.
  • Messages for this display require a $125 donation to the official charity of the Tampa Bay Rays.
  • Messages can be up to 75 characters or less, including spaces and punctuation.
  • This board is located in right-field above sections 142, 144, & 146. Some outfield seating or standing room may have limited visibility.
  • A digital photo of your message may be purchased through the website upon ordering your scoreboard message. Please allow one week after the homestand in which your message was displayed for the requests to be fulfilled.
  • If you order a digital photo of your message, you will receive it via email.

Tropicana Field Left Field Ribbon Board

  • Message orders must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. the day before the game. Late submissions will not be accepted.
  • Messages for this display require a $75 donation to the official charity of the Tampa Bay Rays.
  • Messages can be up to 75 characters or less, including spaces and punctuation.
  • This board is located in left field above sections 135,137,139,141,143,145 & 147 and has limited visibility that include portions of left field.
  • Sections 341-355 will have no visibility to this board.
  • We are unable to provide a digital copy of messages on the Left Field Ribbon Board.

Marriage Proposals on Main Board

  • Proposals appear on the Main Board and require a $500 donation to the official charity of the Tampa Bay Rays.
  • A marriage proposal package includes a live camera shot, a dozen roses delivered to your seat, and a digital video of the moment to share with friends and family (please allow one week for video processing).
  • Only one marriage proposal will be allowed per game and must be purchased two weeks in advance.
  • Marriage proposals are scheduled in-game based on game activations. All proposal timings in-game are subject to change.
  • Once ordered, your proposal is not approved until a Rays representative confirms it with you.
