Fan Appreciation NFT FAQs

What is an NFT?
A non-fungible token (NFT) is a digital collectible in which ownership is unique and verified through data stored on blockchain technology.
What is the ‘Fan Appreciation, Special Promotional Ticket NFT’ and what can I do with it?
This is the second Rays Promotional Ticket NFT in partnership with Candy Digital, MLB’s official NFT partner. On Saturday, September 24 all game attendees can claim a FREE Rays, ‘Fan Appreciation’ piece of digital artwork. This special digital collectible can be added to your personal NFT collection, kept for future utility, or sold on the Candy Digital secondary marketplace.
How do I claim this NFT?
All fans who scan their ticket through the MLB Ballpark App on Saturday, September 24 will receive an email from RaysBaseball.com on Monday, September 26 with information on how to create a Candy Digital account to receive this NFT. The opportunity for fans to claim this NFT will be open until Friday, October 14, 2022.
How many NFTs can an account claim?
All fans who attended the game on Saturday, September 24 will be eligible to receive one NFT per ticket scanned from their MLB Ballpark App. For example, if a fan purchased four tickets through their account and scanned all four at the gate, they will be eligible to receive four Fan Appreciation NFT’s. Each NFT is custom made to the location of your seat for this game.
Why is this special?
This exclusive Fan Appreciation NFT will never be recreated or sold to the public after this date. The Rays were the first MLB club to attach various background themes and utilities behind the Wander Franco NFT giveaway on July 16, and now the Rays will be the first MLB club to introduce dynamic NFTs.
What are dynamic NFTs?
The metadata and artwork on an NFT can evolve over time through dynamic NFTs. All holders of the Fan Appreciation NFT will notice a countdown ticker leading into the Rays 25th Anniversary Season. When the countdown hits zero, holders of the Fan Appreciation NFT will receive a special surprise.
