Rays host first-ever "Bark In The Park" at Tropicana Field

The Tampa Bay Rays will host their first-ever Bark in the Park event at Tropicana Field on Sunday, August 5 during the Rays-Orioles game at 1:40 p.m.  A special seating area is reserved for dog owners and their pets, and the tbt* Party Deck will turn into the “Dog Zone,” with product samples, SPCA of Tampa Bay pet adoption booth and activities for both dogs and their owners.

For more information and to purchase the special dog package, please log on to raysbaseball.com/dogday.  The $20 package includes a ticket in the tbt* Party Deck for one person and their dog, admittance to the Dog Zone and a Rays dog bowl.  Fans can purchase additional human tickets for $15 a piece with the purchase of the dog package.

All dogs must have the required vaccinations and must be leashed (no retractable leashes) and licensed.  The Rays reserve the right to deny any dog or human entrance to Tropicana Field to the Bark in the Park event for any reason they may see fit.

In addition to Bark in the Park, the first 10,000 kids 14 and under on August 5 will receive a DJ Kitty bobblehead presented by Chevrolet, and The Wiggles are scheduled to perform as part of the Rays 2012 Summer Concert Series at the conclusion of the game as part of Family Fun Day presented by Tampa Bay Times.  The Rays Summer Concert Series is produced by Ruth Eckerd Hall on the Road.
