Jedixson Paez put together his best performance of the 2026 season on Sunday.
The No. 19 Red Sox prospect completed four dominant innings for Double-A Portland in a 10-0 win over Altoona at Delta Dental Park at Hadlock Field. Paez allowed just one hit in the scoreless appearance out of the bullpen, striking out a season-high eight batters.
Paez entered in the top of the sixth inning after five scoreless, one-hit frames from Blake Wehunt. Callan Moss reached on a one-out single in the sixth before Paez buckled down the rest of the way.
He struck out the side in the sixth around Moss’ single and recorded two more K’s in each of the seventh and eighth innings. Paez did not walk a batter in his season-long-tying four innings.
