Injury: Left foot contusion

Status: Moniak was out of the lineup but available off the bench on July 9 after he was hit by a pitch in the 7th inning on July 8. (updated July 9)
2B Thairo Estrada
Injury: Left thumb
Expected return: Day to day
Status: X-rays revealed no fracture for Estrada, who jammed his thumb sliding into third in the 6th inning on July 7. He was out of the July 9 lineup and unavailable off the bench for the second straight day. (updated July 9)
DH Kris Bryant
Injury: Lumbar degenerative disk disease
IL date: April 14 (60-day IL, retroactive to April 13)
Expected return: TBD
Status: Bryant plans to consult with a New York doctor on July 7 and will soon see a specialist in Dallas to possibly try “experimental treatments.” The only surgical option is a fusion surgery, which would make continuing to play difficult. (updated July 6) More >>
RHP Jeff Criswell
Injury: Torn right elbow ligament
IL date: March 27 (transferred to 60-day IL on April 14)
Expected return: 2026
Status: Criswell underwent Tommy John surgery on March 14 and will miss the season. (updated April 14)
