Nicky Schmidt, Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue & Strategy Officer
Nicky Schmidt joined the Rockies as senior vice president and chief revenue & strategy officer on Dec. 1, 2025. In her role, she oversees the Rockies’ ticketing, merchandise, and corporate partnerships departments while reporting directly to Executive Vice President Walker Monfort.
Schmidt joined the Rockies after 14 years with the Cleveland Guardians, most recently serving as the senior vice president of organizational strategy and business analytics since 2022. During her career with the Guardians, Schmidt held a variety of roles and has been responsible for leading teams across strategy, data science, business intelligence, brand marketing, and consumer insights. She spearheaded the development of Cleveland’s first 10-year strategic vision, transformed its annual business planning process, and co-led the club’s rebrand from the Indians to the Guardians. Her tenure with Cleveland encompassed directing large-scale capital projects—including major ballpark and front office transformations—implementing advanced analytics to guide organizational strategy and leading organizational restructuring and optimization.
Prior to her time with Cleveland, Schmidt spent five years with Monitor Group, a global management consulting firm, in Chicago, Ill., where she consulted clients on sustainable growth, organizational design, and strategic investments.
Schmidt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a certificate in International Business from the University of Iowa before earning her Master of Business Administration, Marketing and Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
