CINCINNATI -- Monday's series opener of an Ohio Cup battle between the Reds and Guardians was postponed because of rainy weather at and around Great American Ball Park.
The game was rescheduled for Tuesday at 1:40 p.m. ET as part of a split doubleheader. The regularly scheduled night game is still set for 7:10 p.m.
Tickets from Monday's game can be used for the makeup game Tuesday afternoon or exchanged for a future Sunday-Friday game for the rest of the 2026 season, based on availability.
Cincinnati will go with Monday's scheduled starter, Chase Burns (12-1, 2.42 ERA) to pitch Game 1 on Tuesday. Brady Singer was originally scheduled to pitch Tuesday night, but the Reds announced they will use an opener from the bullpen instead, without specifying a pitcher.
For Cleveland, Monday’s scheduled starter Slade Cecconi will take the ball for Game 1. Gavin Williams is set to start Game 2. He was the originally scheduled starter for Tuesday's game.
The Reds (49-55) are coming off of a 10-day, nine-game road trip where they went 6-3 with three straight series wins at Colorado, Seattle and St. Louis.
