Rehabbing lefty Bubic headed to Dodgers in trade with KC (source)

August 3rd, 2026

The Dodgers are set to acquire additional pitching depth, having agreed to a trade with the Royals for left-hander , a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand on Monday. Neither club has confirmed the deal, which will send rookie right-hander Carlos Duran to Kansas City.

The 28-year-old Bubic had a 4.11 ERA through nine starts with the Royals this season before landing on the injured list with left shoulder soreness. The left-hander made three rehab starts with Triple-A Omaha in June before his progress was stalled by a recurrence of his shoulder soreness, and he has yet to make any more rehab appearances since.
