Eagles, Jimmy Buffett to play at Target Field

November 21st, 2017

MINNEAPOLIS -- Continuing the tradition of hosting at least one major concert every year, Target Field will host the Eagles and Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band on June 30, the Twins announced Tuesday.
The Twins have been host to several concerts since Target Field opened in 2010, including Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Florida Georgia Line, Backstreet Boys, Nelly and Chris Lane.
It's the second time the Eagles will have played at a Twins ballpark, as more than 65,000 fans packed Metropolitan Stadium as part of their Hotel California Tour in 1978.
The concert will be held on a Saturday while the Twins are on a nine-game road trip through Chicago and Milwaukee against the White Sox, Cubs and Brewers. The Twins return home on Thursday, July 5, against the Orioles, giving Minnesota head groundskeeper Larry DiVito and his crew four days to get the field ready for play after the concert.

The Eagles -- Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey -- are playing a nationwide tour called "An Evening with the Eagles," and are playing four concerts with Jimmy Buffett, including their final stop in Minnesota on June 30.
The Eagles have announced 12 stops on their tour next year, including concerts at Nationals Park (July 26) and Citizens Bank Park (July 28) with James Taylor. The Eagles are joined by Jimmy Buffett at Orlando's Camping World Stadium (April 14), Miami's Hard Rock Stadium (April 21) Colorado's Coors Field (June 28) and Target Field.

Tickets for the concert at Target Field go on sale Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. CT on ticketmaster.com.
