Twins reinstate Caleb Thielbar from 10-day injured list

Griffin Jax optioned to Triple-A St. Paul

SEATTLE, WA – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reinstated left-handed pitcher Caleb Thielbar from the 10-day Injured List.

Thielbar, who missed the last 12 games with a left groin strain, has appeared in 20 games this season, posting a 4.29 ERA (21.0 IP, 10 ER) with seven walks, 31 strikeouts and a 13.29 strikeouts-per-9.0 innings pitched ratio.

To make room on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned right-handed pitcher Griffin Jax to Triple-A St. Paul. The 26-year-old appeared in three games for the Twins, posting an 8.64 ERA (8.1 IP, 8 ER) with three walks and nine strikeouts.

Additionally, right-handed pitcher Shaun Anderson has been reinstated from the 10-day Injured List (right hand finger blisters) and optioned to Triple-A St. Paul. Anderson has appeared in four games for the Twins this season, posting a 9.35 ERA (8.2 IP, 9 ER) with five walks and eight strikeouts.
