MESA, Ariz. -- Jose Canseco is coming to a TV near you.
Canseco will join former Oakland pitchers Dave Stewart and Dallas Braden as studio analysts for the A's Pregame Live and Postgame Live shows on NBC Sports California this season, the network announced Monday.
"Jose Canseco, Dave Stewart and Dallas Braden authored some of the greatest moments in A's history, and each was known for his passion and personality," said David Koppett, vice president of content strategy for NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California. "We look forward to all three bringing those qualities to our signature A's programs."
Canseco, who played parts of eight seasons with the A's, was the 1988 American League Most Valuable Player.
Braden, who pitched for the A's for five seasons and is remembered for throwing a perfect game on Mother's Day 2010, has already proven his broadcast talent on ESPN as a studio analyst. He will remain in his role with ESPN as a national analyst.
Stewart, an Oakland native and celebrated figure in club history, was the A's 1989 World Series MVP. He most recently finished a brief stint as general manager of the D-backs.
The trio will join former Major Leaguers and returning analysts Bip Roberts and Shooty Babitt on the show. Canseco, according to NBC, will contribute live via satellite from his home in Las Vegas.
The network's A's coverage includes 147 regular-season games, with expanded one-hour pregame and postgame shows.
