What is Virtual Winter Week presented by TD?

Virtual Winter Week presented by TD is a week-long offseason online event that celebrates Blue Jays fans and the game of baseball with fans from coast-to-coast-to-coast. The event will feature excitement for fans of all ages, with special appearances by select current players, alumni, front office & coaching staff, and your favourite Sportsnet personalities as guest hosts; Running from Monday, Feb. 1 through Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021 Virtual Winter Week will feature many of the fan-favourite events and community givebacks from Winter Tour and Fest, adapted so that fans across the country can get involved. Highlights include:

  • Virtual autograph sessions with current players and alumni, including Cavan Biggio, Nate Pearson, Danny Jansen, JP Arencibia, Devon White, Shannon Stewart, and Pat Borders
  • Fans can get their tickets to the virtual autograph sessions on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Thursday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. ET at bluejays.com/virtualwinterweek
  • Fan giveaways and interactive games on @BlueJays social and by downloading the MLB Ballpark app and selecting the Blue Jays as your favourite team
  • Virtual Q&A with Mark Shapiro, Ross Atkins, and Charlie Montoyo – stay tuned to @BlueJays on social to submit your question
  • Virtual School Visits – Kindergarten to grade eight school teachers across Canada are encouraged to enter our Virtual School Visits contest at bluejays.com/virtualwinterweek for a chance to win virtual programming with appearances from Blue Jays players. Learn more here.

Is there a community/charitable element to Virtual Winter Week presented by TD?

A cornerstone of Blue Jays Winter Tour has always been showing our appreciation for the communities that support the team all season long. For Virtual Winter Week, Jays Care Foundation and TD will make a combined $30,000 donation to Ronald McDonald Houses serving British Columbia & Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Toronto, and Newfoundland & Labrador, to provide the items they are most in need of, including prepared meals, cleaning supplies, games, and technology.

In addition, a portion of the proceeds from Virtual Winter Week virtual autograph session ticket sales and Trivia Tuesday presented by TD registration will go to Jays Care Foundation. Jays Care will also be hosting a Virtual Jays Care Foundation auction featuring Blue Jays memorabilia and collectibles for purchase.

How much do Virtual Winter Week tickets cost?

There is no cost to attend Virtual Winter Week presented by TD. However, virtual autograph sessions are pre-ticketed events and only fans who purchase tickets to the applicable autograph session will be granted access. Virtual autograph session tickets are $10 CAD with a portion of the proceeds going to Jays Care Foundation. Your autograph ticket either includes; an autographed screenshot of your virtual autograph session with a Blue Jays player or alumnus, or for select time slots, you will be able to preselect one of the following items to have autographed by the current player or alumni at the time of purchase: baseball, Blue Jays hat or mini baseball bat. Trivia Tuesday presented by TD tickets are $5 CAD per team or individual if you are participating individually, with 100% of the proceeds going to Jays Care Foundation.

How do fans get access to Virtual Autograph Sessions?

Player and alumni virtual autograph sessions are preticketed events, with a limit of one (1) ticket per account. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning Thursday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. ET until tickets are sold out. What items can I have autographed at the Virtual Autograph Session I purchased for?

Each ticket includes access to one (1) virtual player or alumnus autograph session during the time slot you select at the time of purchase and one (1) of the following:

1) An autographed screenshot with a Blue Jays player or alumnus from your session

OR

2) For select timeslots only, one (1) pre-selected item (choice of baseball, Blue Jays hat or mini baseball bat) to be autographed by a Blue Jays player or alumnus. Specific item must be selected at the time of purchase and will be shipped to the purchaser’s mailing address indicated at the time of purchase.

How do I know which player or alumnus will be attending the Virtual Autograph Session I purchased for?

Players and alumni are subject to change and will be shared with purchasers via email 24 hours prior to the virtual autograph session. Please note that unlike our autograph sessions at Winter Fest, there will only be one (1) player or alumnus at the virtual autograph session you purchased a ticket for.

Which players will be taking part in Virtual Winter Week presented by TD?

We are excited to share that Cavan Biggio, Nate Pearson and Danny Jansen will be taking part in Virtual Winter Week presented by TD. Plus, JP Arencibia, Devon White, Shannon Stewart, and Pat Borders are confirmed to join this year as part of our virtual event. Absolutely – we want you to be comfortable! A bonus element of Virtual Winter Week presented by TD is that you will be toasty warm in your house and you won’t have to stand in a coat check line!

What if I get hungry during the event, is there food available for purchase?

You can attend events during Virtual Winter Week presented by TD from the comfort of your home. If you get hungry, head to the kitchen and make yourself a snack. You can join us when you are back or take us on the road to your home plate (kitchen table).

Why are giveaways from the 2021 Promotions Schedule being given out before the baseball season? Will there be enough for fans at games?

During this unprecedented year, we wanted to share these premium and collectible items with our fans because we were not able to be together at Rogers Centre in 2020. When we are able to give these out, we will still have a full count to share with our fans in person!

Fans may participate in all activities at no additional charge, other than the virtual autograph sessions and Trivia Tuesday presented by TD, which are preticketed events. Please note: capacity for the virtual autograph sessions are limited and sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

I did not get a ticket for one of the virtual autograph sessions - will I still have a chance to see any players?

Yes, you still have a chance! Current Blue Jays current players, alumni, and front office & coaching staff will be participating in many activities throughout Virtual Winter Week presented by TD!

Will there be activities for kids?

Absolutely! There will be activities dedicated to our Jr. Jays on Thursday, Feb. 4 during our Family Fun activity, and on Saturday, Feb. 6 for the Jays Care Virtual Challenger Jamboree (registration required).
