Volpe (left shoulder surgery recovery) will continue his Minor League rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on April 28-29. He could be activated May 1, though that decision hasn’t been made yet.

Maikel Garcia and Jonathan India, Royals

Garcia still hasn’t shaken the right elbow soreness that caused him to exit Kansas City's game on April 22 in the sixth inning. April 26 marked the third consecutive game Garcia was out of the lineup.

India (left shoulder subluxation) has received an injection to relieve pain and will see a specialist during the week of April 27.

Max Scherzer, Trey Yesavage, George Springer, Nathan Lukes, José Berríos and Addison Barger, Blue Jays

The Blue Jays placed Scherzer on the 15-day IL with right forearm tendinitis and left ankle inflammation on April 27.

Yesavage (right shoulder impingement) will be activated off the injured list to make his season debut on April 28 against the Red Sox.

Springer (left big toe fracture) is ramping up his baseball activity but still had not resumed running the bases as of April 24. The Blue Jays have yet to decide whether he will need a rehab assignment.

Lukes was placed on the 10-day IL on April 25 after an MRI revealed a left hamstring strain, which he suffered running the bases on April 24.

Berríos (right elbow stress fracture) will make what could be his final rehab appearance with Triple-A Buffalo on April 28.

Barger (left ankle sprain) is scheduled to run the bases on April 30 and could begin his rehab assignment soon.

Eugenio Suárez and Nick Lodolo, Reds

Suárez (left oblique strain) was placed on the 10-day IL on April 25. He was scratched from the lineup on April 24 after feeling something in his side on a swing during batting practice.

Lodolo (blister on left index finger) faced 17 batters over five scoreless innings and allowed two hits while striking out seven in his first rehab start for High-A Dayton on April 26.

Oneil Cruz and Jared Jones, Pirates

Cruz was scratched from the lineup on April 27 due to an undisclosed illness.

Jones (right elbow surgery) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Bradenton on April 29.

Francisco Lindor and Jorge Polanco, Mets

Lindor (left calf strain) will be in a boot for a week and undergo a follow-up MRI during the week of May 11, at which point his recovery timeline should become more clear.

Polanco (left Achilles bursitis/right wrist contusion) is still week to week as of April 24. He was scheduled to undergo additional testing over the April 25-26 weekend.

Sonny Gray, Red Sox

Gray (right hamstring strain) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on April 27. He's expected to come off the IL when first eligible on May 6.

Logan O'Hoppe, Angels

O’Hoppe has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a left wrist fracture.

J.T. Ginn, Athletics

Ginn, who started April 26 against the Rangers at Globe Life Field, left the game after facing two batters in the fourth inning with what the club called “right arm soreness.”

Shawn Armstrong, Guardians

The Guardians placed Armstrong on the 15-day injured list with a right groin strain on April 26.

Jackson Holliday, Orioles

Holliday (right wrist soreness) had all tests come back clean and has been temporarily shut down to allow for inflammation to clear.

Andrew Vaughn, Brewers

Vaughn (fractured left hamate) hit on the field for the first time on April 24 and hopes to be cleared for a rehab assignment at his upcoming April 28 checkup.

Justin Verlander, Tigers

Verlander (left hip inflammation) threw an encouraging bullpen session on April 24 in Cincinnati. He will throw at least one more bullpen session before potentially progressing to a rehab assignment.

Gabriel Moreno, D-backs

Moreno (left oblique strain) is expected to rejoin the D-backs during their April 28-30 series against the Brewers.
