Blue Jays inviting 250 frontline workers each game for the first homestand

After receiving approval on Friday to return home to Rogers Centre beginning July 30, the Toronto Blue Jays today announce plans to safely host fans at the ballpark in accordance with Ontario’s outdoor venue reopening guidelines.

Rogers Centre will host 15,000 fans in a combination of standard traditional seating (two-thirds of bowl tickets) and physically distanced pods of up to four seats (one-third of bowl tickets) for the first 10 home games from July 30 to August 8. TD Executive Suites, TD Clubhouse, and Ticketmaster Lounge will also be open at limited capacity. To ensure the latest health and safety protocols are in place, tickets for future homestands will be announced later.

To provide the best fan experience with limited capacity, only the 100L and 200L will be open for bowl seating; the 500L will not be available for the first homestand. The Blue Jays have reconfigured the ballpark manifest to ensure there are a variety of ticket options, while continuing the highest standard of operations under the current health and safety protocols.

2021 and 2022 Season Ticket Members will receive first access to tickets before the general public onsale on Thursday, July 22 at 10 a.m. (bluejays.com/tickets). Fans can purchase a 2022 Season Ticket Membership now to receive advance access to 2021 tickets prior to the general public (bluejays.com/seasontickets).

Complete Rogers Centre health and safety information can be found at bluejays.com/healthandsafety, including, but not limited to:

• Face coverings required at all times for fans aged two years and older, except when actively eating or drinking in ticketed seats or designated areas

• Mobile ticketing only to limit fan touchpoints; the ticket purchaser for the group must transfer individual tickets to each guest for gate entry and contact tracing (except for minors and those requiring accessibility support)

• Symptom screening prior to entry

• Cashless payment only throughout the ballpark, with new reverse ATMs available

• Physical distancing markers at the gates, on the concourse, in Jays Shop, and other social spaces around the ballpark

• Modified concessions menu with pre-packaged items, to minimize crowding and reduce touchpoints

• Increased cleaning and sanitization with hand sanitizer stations readily available throughout the ballpark

To say thank you for the tremendous contributions to our community, the Blue Jays are thrilled to host 250 frontline workers each game of the first homestand, in a complimentary seating section.

Media information for those looking to cover the Blue Jays return to Toronto at Rogers Centre, will be shared in the coming week.

After 670 days without Blue Jays baseball on home soil, we cannot wait to celebrate the team’s homecoming with our fans on July 30.
