McCarthy to 60-day DL as Dodgers claim De La Rosa

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers claimed left-handed pitcher Eury De La Rosa from the Oakland A's, optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City and moved pitcher Brandon McCarthy to the 60-day disabled list on Thursday.

McCarthy was believed to have undergone Tommy John surgery Thursday and is out until mid-2016.

De La Rosa pitched in the Major Leagues with Arizona in 2013 and '14 and has been at Triple-A this season.
