Dodgers announce Double-A affiliation with Tulsa Drillers of Texas League

The Los Angeles Dodgers today announced they have signed a working agreement with the Tulsa Drillers of the Texas League for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. The announcement was made jointly by Los Angeles Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten and Tulsa Drillers owners Dale and Jeff Hubbard.

"We are thrilled to be working with the Hubbard family and making Tulsa our home for the Dodgers' Double-A team," said Dodgers President & CEO Stan Kasten. "Having our top two minor league teams within the state of Oklahoma will certainly be great for our organization and for the Dodger fans in the state."

"We are excited to bring the Dodgers brand of baseball to Tulsa and a fantastic facility in ONEOK Field," said De Jon Watson, the Dodgers' Vice-President of Player Development. "We look forward to a strong partnership with an outstanding ownership group."

Went Hubbard purchased the Tulsa Drillers in 1986 and the Hubbard family has owned the franchise since with sons Dale and Jeff currently serving as co-chairmen. The franchise is the oldest professional sports franchise in the city of Tulsa. Professional baseball came to Tulsa in 1905 and has now been played in the city for more than 100 years.

"The Dodgers are one of baseball's most famous and successful franchises, and they have a great history of developing players within their minor league system.   We are excited about this new chapter in the long history of professional baseball in the city of Tulsa."

The Dodgers' Double-A home will be ONEOK Field, located in the historic Greenwood District of downtown Tulsa. The field was officially opened on April 8, 2010.

The Dodgers' Double-A affiliation had been in Chattanooga from 2009-14.
