Garcia gets cleanup surgery on pitching elbow
Lefty reliever tried to play in Arizona Fall League before being shut down
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Dodgers left-handed reliever Onelki Garcia has undergone arthroscopic cleanup surgery on his left elbow, general manager Ned Colletti said Monday at the General Managers Meetings.
Garcia, a 24-year-old from Cuba, tried to pitch in the Arizona Fall League last month, but was removed from the roster.
Garcia made three appearances with the Dodgers in September, but had four walks and allowed a home run after splitting the Minor League season between Double-A Chattanooga and Triple-A Albuquerque.
