'At least' a month until Prado resumes activities

Veteran third baseman strained left hamstring on Friday

May 27th, 2018

MIAMI -- Marlins manager Don Mattingly said that it likely will be at least a month before third baseman is cleared to return to normal baseball activities.
Prado landed on the 10-day disabled list on Saturday with a left hamstring strain that he sustained running to first base during Friday's 9-5 loss to the Nationals at Marlins Park. It's the 34-year-old Prado's second visit to the DL with hamstring issues this season.
"We know we're at least 30 days-plus getting ready again," Mattingly said on Sunday. "We're a ways out. Timetables are really not part of the equation right now. We know it's a hamstring strain. I think at some point if it's not healing or not feeling better, then we'd get some testing done."
