Impact Week begins tomorrow at Poinciana Park Elementary with Marlins players and Billy the Marlin to play ball with 300 students
MIAMI – The Miami Marlins Foundation is taking the field at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 23, to open its new initiative, Impact Week, at Poinciana Park Elementary School. Marlins players Jeff Brigham, Isan Díaz and Jordan Yamamoto will be joined by Marlins alumnus Gaby Sanchez, Marlins Mermaids, and Billy The Marlin to play ball with 300 students from Poinciana Park.
The Miami Marlins Foundation will hold a Play Ball Day, which features a positive platform to connect those who play. Marlins players will take the roles of coaches and mentors and provide instruction on the fundamentals of baseball and softball.
