Miami Marlins to welcome students back to school and prepare them for an All-Star academic year with back-to-school supplies distributions in partnership with the Kiwanis of Little Havana

August 8th, 2022

MIAMI – Opening Day for the 2022-23 school year across South Florida is around the corner, and the Miami Marlins, Miami Marlins Foundation and Kiwanis Club of Little Havana have teamed up to provide school supplies to more than 9,000 students across Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. With continued rising costs for basic school supplies impacting our most underserved youth, the Marlins are joining our partners HairClub, MetaFans, and PNC Bank for this year’s distributions that will allow our local neighborhood children tools they need to succeed in the classroom.

This tradition, which is in its 11th year, aims to excite and prepare students for the upcoming school year by providing free school supplies to thousands of children. All the students at each school will receive supplies including pencils, notebooks, folders, safety scissors, glue sticks, crayons, rulers, markers, composition books, and paper.

A total of seven distributions will take place across the next three weeks.
