The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today the public on-sale date for individual game tickets for the 2015 season will take place on Friday, December 12, beginning at 10 a.m. At that time, all fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to all regular season games scheduled at PNC Park, including very limited inventory for the Pirates Home Opener on Monday, April 13 vs the Detroit Tigers.

Tickets can be purchased online at pirates.com/tickets, at the PNC Park Main Ticket Office, or by calling 1-877-893-2827. Fans can also purchase tickets at PirateFest at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center this Saturday and Sunday, or at the Pirates ticketing kiosks located in the Ross Park and South Hills Village Malls.

The team also released details of their 2015 promotional schedule that includes 31 promotional dates, including the return of the popular concert series and seven postgame fireworks displays, powered by Zambelli Fireworks.

The 2015 PNC Park Fan Jam dates are Saturday, June 13 as the Pirates host the Philadelphia Phillies and Saturday, October 3 as the Cincinnati Reds visit the North Shore. The concerts will take place approximately 15 minutes following the final out of each game and the headliners for each will be announced at a later date.

The seven postgame fireworks dates planned for the 2015 season begin with the first Saturday game at PNC Park as the Bucs take on the Milwaukee Brewers on April 18. The complete list of the postgame fireworks dates, that include five Saturday and two Thursday contests, are available at pirates.com/promotions.

Other notable 2015 promotions include:

  • Thursday, May 7 the first 20,000 fans will receive a Clint Hurdle Gnome, presented by Trib Total Media.
  • Saturday, May 23 the first 20,000 fans will receive a bobblehead of 2014 Pirates All-Star Josh Harrison, presented by Allegheny Health Network.
  • Saturday, June 27 the first 20,000 fans will receive a Starling Marte bobblehead.
  • Saturday, August 29, the first 20,000 fans will receive a mini replica of the Bill Mazeroski statue displayed outside the right field gates at PNC Park honoring the Pirates Hall-of-Fame second baseman.
  • The return of the popular "Free Shirt Fridays" as the first 20,000 fans at all 13 Friday home games in 2015 will receive a complimentary Pirates tee shirt. The Pirates will unveil six of the shirt designs at its annual PirateFest, while Pirates players will design three other shirts and fans will be asked for direct input in the design of the four remaining shirts.
  • Sundays will once again be designated as "Kids Days" at PNC Park. There will be fun and games outside PNC Park on Federal Street prior to each Sunday afternoon home game and most dates will feature a special giveaway for kids 14 years of age and under, with paid admission to the game.

An up-to-date promotion schedule can be found at pirates.com/promotions and the complete promotion schedule along with the first glimpse of the items will be available at the 2014 Piratefest, presented by T-Mobile.

The Pirates will also expand the club's use of a real time pricing model that will more accurately reflect the demand for each game and provide fans with more price options. With advanced metrics linked to the Pirates' ticketing system, the Pirates will adjust ticket prices upward or downward based on the demand for each game, providing fans with greater price flexibility based on real-time market conditions.

The Pirates initially introduced real-time pricing in 2012 in the Upper Bleacher Reserved at PNC Park, and expanded the program to include the Bleacher Reserved section beginning in 2013. Part of a growing trend in professional sports, 19 Major League Baseball teams used real-time pricing for all or substantially all of their seating sections in 2014 and that number is expected to increase in 2015.

"This pricing model has evolved into the primary method of pricing not only in sports but in a wide variety of consumer driven industries," said Drew Cloud, Pirates Executive Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. "This move is three seasons in the making as we have observed and adjusted this pricing model on a limited basis at PNC Park since 2012. This has given us the knowledge and track record of being able to adjust prices, both up and down, in real-time to reflect the proper pricing for specific games."

"The ability to adjust the price of our tickets in real time versus setting firm prices up to a year in advance, will allow us to react to demand and be more creative with value programs for our fans," added Cloud. "This should also give our fans an even higher level of confidence in pirates.com as the trusted source for purchasing all single game tickets at the best available prices."

This individual game pricing structure does not impact Pirates Season Ticket Members. In fact, the real-time pricing model is designed to provide even more value to being a Season Ticket Member, as they will receive exclusive benefits and greater savings over individual game ticket prices in 2015.

For those fans who want to ensure that they get their seats for all games on their 2015 wish list, season ticket plans are also on sale now. Choose from a Full Season Plan starting as low as $599, 41-Game Plan featuring every weekend game, and 20-Game Plans that are designed around the best games of the season.
