Cleveland Indians announce name of Progressive Field's new two-story bar: 'The Corner'

New two-story, indoor-outdoor bar features dramatic views of the field and city, nearly 40 taps of craft and domestic beers, fire pit on rooftop deck Bar interior design will feature wood and more elements from the Columbus Road Bridge in the Flats, as preserved by local company Rustbelt Reclamation

Cleveland, OH-The Cleveland Indians announced on Thursday that after Tribe fans voted online in recent weeks, the new two-story bar in the Right Field District at Progressive Field will be named "The Corner."

The bar's logo and signage also will include "Carnegie and Ontario," an homage to Tom Hamilton's signature introduction - "We're under way from the corner of Carnegie and Ontario" -- on the Indians Radio Network. The indoor-outdoor bar will include nearly 40 beers on tap and a fire pit on the rooftop deck.

The new bar, bar back and canopy will feature elements salvaged from the old Columbus Road Bridge in Cleveland's Flats. Additionally, The Corner features free-standing furniture that incorporates bridge decking and hand-made sand-casting patterns recovered from a foundry formerly located on East 71st Street. The Indians commissioned Cleveland-based Rustbelt Reclamation to design and construct these features as means to bring some of Cleveland into the ballpark.

Fans can enjoy The Corner with the Indians new $13 District Ticket presented by SportsTime Ohio. For $13, fans get a Standing Room Only ticket, and the first drink - 12-ounce beer (for those 21 and over), Pepsi product or bottled water - is on the Tribe!
